Google I-O 2020 Canceled Total Because of Corona Virus
Google finally canceled Google I / O 2020 in total because of the increasingly severe corona virus spread.
The point is totally canceled here is Google’s biggest annual event was actually canceled, not just a physical event that was canceled as Google announced on March 3 last.
“Our concern for health and safety for developers, employees and local communities – including the ‘shelter in place’ rules implemented by the Bay Area government – we are very sad that we will not hold I / O in any form this year, “Google wrote in their statement on the official I / O website.
“Right now, the most important thing for us is to divert attention to help people with all the challenges we face. We will remain committed to finding other ways to share platform updates for you through developer blogs and community forums,” Google added.
The true I / O 2020 conference will be held on May 12-14, 2020. At this conference Google usually shows off all the new features that will be presented to Android and various other Google services.
They also usually will launch a variety of new devices at the annual event. But now with the cancellation of I / O, it is not clear how they will carry out various launches and announcements.
I / O is just one of many technology conferences that have been canceled, postponed, or changed because of the spread of the corona virus. Previously Apple had officially canceled the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2020, and turned it into an online event. The first world technology event was canceled because the corona virus outbreak was the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 at the end of February.
