Samsung Denies Selling One Million Galaxy Fold Units This Year
At TechCrunch Disrupt held in Berlin, Germany, Samsung Electronics Chief Strategy Officer and Corporate President Young Sohn stated that the company has sold one million Galaxy Fold smartphones since launching the device earlier this year.
Regarding the statement, as quoted by Wccftech, Korean media reported that a Samsung spokesman had denied the company’s sales figures.
In a statement made to Yonhap News Agency, a Samsung spokesman denied Sohn’s claim that the company had sold one million Galaxy Fold devices.
Samsung representatives suggested to news agencies that executives might have mixed up the number of gadgets the company wanted to send or sell with the actual amount.
The Korean press had reported in October that Samsung had sold 500,000 Galaxy Folds since launch.
