Along with Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 1.3, in the event that was held online on Thursday (3/19/2020) night, HMD Global also launched its first 5G phone, the Nokia 8.3.

HMD Global Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas said that Nokia 8.3 is the first flagship that already supports global 5G network connectivity.

“This is the first global smartphone that we really designed to optimize the 5G network, we are also proud to partner with Qualcomm for this extraordinary innovation,” Sarvikas said.

For specifications, the Nokia 8.3 carries a 6.81-inch screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20: 9.

With a 6.81-inch screen, the company claims that this phone has the ability to adjust the display based on the conditions of ambient light, and is able to improve the quality of SDR images to HDR.

Compiled by KompasTekno from The Verge, Friday (3/20/2020), this phone is powered by Qualcomm’s chips, namely Snapdragon 765G, GPU Adreno 620 and runs the Android 10 operating system.

With a battery capacity of 4,500 mAh, Nokia 8.3 offers two RAM options and internal storage which is 6GB / 64GB and 8GB / 128GB.

From the aspect of photography, the front camera of the Nokia 8.3 is a punch hole located on the top left of the cellphone screen with a resolution of 24 megapixels.

Nokia 8.3 is equipped with four cameras on the back consisting of a 64MP main camera (f / 1.9), 12MP ultra wide camera (f / 2.2), 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth camera.

Not only that, the ultra wide camera on this phone also offers a number of special video features, such as 4K recording and recording with a resolution of 21: 9.

Nokia 8.3 is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor that is integrated with the power button, 2D face unlock, NFC, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5 mm audio jack port.

Nokia 8.3 comes with one color variant, namely Polar night and will be priced at 599 Euros (IDR 10.4 million) for the 6GB / 64 GB variant, and 649 Euros (IDR 11.3 million) for the 8GB / 128GB variant. HMD Global plans to market this 5G phone in mid-2020.
